How to Apply KINDri Natural Beauty Oil

KINDri NATURAL BEAUTY OIL

What’s the first thing you think about when you hear the word ‘oil’? Greasy food? Oily skin? Your high school sweetheart’s slicked back hair? Well, it’s time to put those associations out of your mind, to make way for oil’s new status as beauty’s latest skincare breakthrough!

Surprisingly, not all oils will leave your skin feeling (and looking) like the inside of a greasy skillet. In fact, some natural beauty oils can even benefit those with oily skin types. At KINDri, we use a blend of oils that absorb quickly, without clogging your pores or making your skin look shiny. But what actually are the benefits of KINDri’s natural beauty oils?

The Benefits Of KINDri’s Natural Beauty Oils

KINDri’s oils are extracted directly from highly nutritious plants, so they’re packed full of vitamins, antioxidants, and fatty acids. This means that they have myriad benefits for your skin. Furthermore, we use the prickly pear cactus in every natural beauty oil we make, because its skin-enhancing qualities are second to none.

Natural beauty oils have the ability to hydrate your skin and prevent it from losing its moisture. This is particularly important during the drying winter period, which is why we have recommended our top 5 beauty oils for Christmas. You also have to watch out for your skin as it begins to mature and age, because its natural oil production will gradually abate.

Other benefits of KINDri’s natural beauty oils include their ability to minimize sun damage, stimulate skin regeneration, calm inflammation and protect against environmental pollution.

How To Apply KINDri Natural Beauty Oil

KINDri’s natural beauty oils come with a dropper (pipette) built into the lid, so you can apply the oil directly onto your skin in small amounts. We recommend between 3-4 drops directly onto clean and dry skin in the morning or before bed. To improve the coverage, you could dispense one drop onto your nose, one on your forehead and one on each cheek. After applying, gently massage the oil into your skin with your (clean) fingers, using circular motions and ensuring you work your way down to the neck and chest.

How To Incorporate Beauty Oil Into Your Skincare Regime

Natural beauty oils can be used in conjunction with your other skincare products and often help boost their abilities.

After Cleansing

It’s best to use beauty oils after cleansing your face, to ensure that it’s free of build-up and dirt. If you don’t cleanse your face before, then you risk preventing the oil from being absorbed properly by your skin.

At KINDri, we have even made an Orange and Almond Cleansing Oil, which you can use to completely remove all grit, grime, and makeup. Just ensure you wash it off with a soft, warm washcloth before applying your natural beauty oil.

Before Moisturizing

Natural beauty oils are great at hydrating your skin on their own, but you can also use them before a moisturizer. Applying a day and night cream, such as our Avocado Smoothie, after the oil can serve as an extra protective layer to lock in the skin’s moisture.

Before Sunscreen

We all love a bit of sunshine and, as long as we don’t burn our skin, it doesn’t do us any harm...does it? Actually, even if you don’t notice any visible effects, UV rays can penetrate the skin and destroy the collagen beneath. This damage reduces the elasticity of the skin and causes premature aging. Furthermore, most skin cancers are a result of exposure to UV radiation from the sun.

It’s for this reason that you should take measures to protect your skin from UV rays. Fortunately, the prickly pear cactus oil used in KINDri’s products contains an abundance of vitamin E, which reduces sunburn and can lower your risk of developing cancer through photo-carcinogenesis.

For day-to-day skin protection, you could use a few drops of one of KINDri’s natural beauty oils before using Orange Smoothie, which has mineral-based sun protection. This newly formulated day cream uses zinc oxide and titanium oxide - naturally-derived minerals that provide broadspectrum protection against UV rays.

For extended periods in the sun, we recommend using natural beauty oils in conjunction with a vegan, natural and reef-safe sunscreen, such as SunButter. Simply add a few drops of oil to your skin and massage it in, before applying sunscreen a few minutes later.
